New month, new goal! Entering June means increasing my daily step goal from 10,000 to 12,000 per day and/or 10km (whichever comes first).
Today’s distance was mostly from a long walk mid-day. The work day was slow, and coming back from a long weekend trip, I needed some motivation to mentally get back into it. I figured a walk outdoors would be great.
I didn’t plan where to go other than to cover as much distance as I could for my daily step goal, so I don’t walk as much later.
I went to the nearby Kinsmen trail and ended up in the park trails along Chippewa Creek, at Thomson Park, and Fisher St. Park.
It was a hot afternoon to be outdoors, so the shade along the trails was a welcome relief. Nice to see trees in bloom (mostly plums), and being away from traffic noise.

I ended up getting my 10k steps with that long walk alone, but I wanted to get 10km distance-wise for my Conqueror challenge, so I added an indoor walk workout later in the evening.
I’m 91% to completing my Conqueror: Super Soldier challenge. Unlocked my 3rd postcard with today’s mileage. I’m finishing it in 2 weeks instead of 3, so will do a major push tomorrow!
