Today’s mileage was from exploring the Toronto Island Park. Went by ferry from the Jack Layton terminal and landed on Center Island.
Walked a bit around the area towards the Center Island pier on the opposite end, then along the boardwalk towards Ward’s Island.
It wasn’t a considerable distance to get there on foot, but on a hot day, the shade from the trees along the trail was a relief, and so was the breeze coming off the beach.
Some folks rented bikes to maximize their time exploring, while most families brought picnic essentials to camp out in one spot.
We stayed there for a while until it was time to return to the city, with hours of driving back to North Bay ahead of us.
