We may be strong and independent, yet we can’t fully achieve things without help from others. People show up for us in different ways.
I’m fortunate to have amazing people who showed up for me through my journey as an immigrant in Canada. Some paved the way and made it possible for us to come here. Others supported us quietly and made our ordinary days much richer and more manageable.
They showed up for me not just in difficult times, but also on joyful days, to celebrate the milestones achieved, big or small.
And so, I try to do the same for those around me. It’s not always about making grand gestures, but even as simple as making ourselves available. Lending an ear to listen. Extending guidance or encouragement when others need a push to move foward.
